Ofsted Monitoring Visit February 2019
We were delighted that Ofsted recognised the improvements that have been made to Health Futures during their visit in February this year. Amongst other things they identified improvements in the quality of teaching and in behaviour. They were also very enthusiastic about the new curriculum that will be implemented from September 2019 which is designed around the core care values of Respect, Communication, Empowerment, Dignity, Confidentiality, Safeguarding and Anti-discriminatory practice. Open Day 23rd March
We held our school Open Day last Saturday, 23rd March and we welcomed some very lovely families and potential students to the building. They were taken on a school tour by our student leadership volunteers, and had a look around the school facilities including the SIM ward, science lab and also attended a talk by our Principal, Mrs Umerah. Our partners also came to support the event and spoke to the families about future career options and how to achieve the necessary qualifications. Staff and student volunteers had a really good day and we look forward to welcoming the new students back in the next academic year!

Health Future’s vision is to prepare young people for a future careers in health and social care and science professions.
Principal, Ruth Umerah said, “Students come to Health Futures to start their careers and their destinations this year are as impressive as their qualifications. The links we have established with employers in the health care sector present our students with fantastic opportunities. I am extremely proud of their achievements.
