We’re conveniently located on the High Street and easily found as our distinctive building is directly opposite the Memorial Gardens, where the town’s Register Office is situated.
Getting to us by tram or bus
Traveling to school and college is a great way for young people to develop their confidence and independence. There’s a great transport network on our doorstep with the tram or bus especially ideal ways to reach Health Futures. Getting to us by car or taxi
If using public transport is not an option then a network of motorways and arterial roads provide a choice of routes into West Bromwich. There’s no on-site parking at the UTC but there are some drop-off and disabled parking bays outside the school, although these are not specifically allocated for the use of Health Futures students, staff or visitors. Sandwell Council also operates a free Car Sharing Scheme for anyone interested in reaching the town by car but wanting to keep down costs and the use of vehicles. More information can be found at https://carsharesandwell.liftshare.com/
Getting to us by cycle
For anyone wanting to cycle to Health Futures there’s a secure on-site bike store at the school. Local cycle routes from the High Street connect to those in Great Barr, Smethwick, Wednesbury Tipton, and Dudley. There’s also an off-road cycle track along Parkway Metro from Hawthorns through West Bromwich to Black Lake.
Getting to us on foot
Health Futures UTC is served by good, well-lit pavements and public thoroughfares for those able to walk to college. The Walk It website allows you to plan your walking route online or download the App and journey plan ‘on the go’.

We work closely with Network West Midlands Centro Travel and Sandwell Council to provide journey planning information and options. Useful information can be found at

Health Futures Travel Buddy Scheme
A number of our students choose to travel together on public transport, helping them to make friends and giving them someone to share their journey with. We do this through post code matching.
